On September 11, 2025, the Niagara Nepali Samaj announced the cancellation of its Dashain Celebration Program, originally planned for September 27, 2025. This decision reflects the organization’s compassion and solidarity with Nepal during a time of national mourning and difficulty. The festival, significant for its representation of victory over evil and the value of community ties, will not occur as it would contradict the current spirit of unity.
